Does it matter whether it's a DVD-R or DVD+R when you are burning? whats the difference.

Even tho some use DVD+R it seems that the DVD-R are more compatible with Wii systems.

No one can tell you what DVD -/+ R media to use. Every system is different and you will need to find blank media that works best on your system.

As I stated above you will not know until you try.

There have been reports of Verbatims not working on Wii systems but some have had no trouble using them.

Same as Tayio Yudens some say they work some say they don't.

It just depends on your system and what media it will accept.

DVD-R is supposed to be better for the Wii to read or something.

This is what I use and I've had no problems:

Ritek DVD-R media, burned with ImgBurn at 2x for Wii and GC games. Also I've used DVD+RW crappy (but working well) media, with the same speed, and also burned faster, that work good as well. That media I got from eBay is called No Worries USB Technology or something.

I'm using a SONY DVD RW DRU-510A to burn the games. No problems at all.

I assume it'll most likely be different for your Wii. But these are suggestions, use what you want. Find what works well for you.

I'm using

DVD-R Imation , Partially works ,PAL system with PAL games. NTSC games (Wario and Pokémon don't work, disn can't even be read).

DVD+R Sony , Gives black screen with Wario and Pokémon won't even boot up.

Still have to find out what will work best. I don't have other DVD bands so need to wait until I have some money to try something else.

NTSC(U) Wario Smooth Moves isn't region compatible with your PAL Wii system. So no matter what you try you will not get the NTSC(U) version to work. You will need to get the PAL version of the game.

Pokemon Revolution should work after running it through Wii brick Blocker. Make sure you have your Region override turned on or patch it with a region patcher.

Below is a region compatibility list. just look up the game title under NTSC(U) TO PAL or NTSC(J) TO PAL.

Thanks over read that one from the list :)

But Region Override isn't on the Cyclowiz right? I got the lastest 3.5
When I patch the game to PAL it says ''gamecode miss'' after ''Region Code'' with RegionFrii
Could that be a problem.

I tried about 5-6 different brands and none of them worked, so I ended up taking my Wii back to the guy that installed the chip, he apparently adjusted the laser and now it plays everything from Imation +R's to Staples brand -R's .. the only thing that didn't work was an Imation +R burned at 12x (worked great at 4x)

adjusted the laser? man, that's awesome. I wish I could do that it'd come in handy both on my Wii and my PC...
