Right now I have a 3.40 oea firmware. Buttons x and O are working wrong X works like O and o works like X. One more thing I cant play most of the games. Whenever I try to run a game it says The game could not be started (80020148)

Need help with downgrading my firmware(2.60) Pm me if you know how. :P

Well to fix the buttons, go into recovery mode and go to Registry Hacks and disable X O button swap

ive run into that problem also with 3.40 oe-a it can all be fixed with the change of your registry options for the x and o its simple but for some reason some psps revert back to defaul settings in the options and some games wont play you have to hold down the R button when booting up your psp and go into options. I will post later with the exact options and what they should* be.

okay here are mine are and if anyone has anything different to add as to why this happens and why these settings revert randomly? another odd thing is with my psp the background pic will get blacked out and no longer visible at the same time these settings revert...

anyways go to advanced then advanced configuration your settings should be like this

plain modules in umd/iso (currently: enabled)
Execute boot.bin in umd/iso (currently: disabled)
use isofs driver also in umd-insterted mode (currently: disabled)

now go back to the original menu
set your configuration like this

skip sce logo (enabled)
hide corrupt icons (enabled)
game folder homebrew (currently 1.50 kernel)
autorun program at /psp/game/boot/eboot.pbp (disabled)
use no-umd (disabled)
fake region (disabled)
free umd region (disabled)

let me know how that works out for you..

What is an original menu? If you mean the "Configuration" menu, when I press it the screen turns blue and I cant do anything so I have to take out the battery.

no problem man just save those settings in a text file in case it happens again...did you happen to do anything to your psp before this happened? change wallpaper theme anything like that? Im still trying to figure out what causes this to happen on some psps and not on others...
