Are PS1 games not supposed to work on 4GB cards, or what? I purchased a Lexar 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for my 3.03oe-c PSP, and I can't run any PS1 ripped games on it, as I could on my 1GB SanDisk Gaming Card? Anyboyd else run into this problem?
Thanks

I dont think every memory stick pro duo works on psps. You could try to get one that you know will work, such as one by sony or sandisk. Think of it this way: Ur buying a card to put isos on and all ur payin for is the card so why not get a certified working one?

Lexar works. i have a 512 (lol) mb one getting a 4 gig, but anyways my psx games work Sony, Sandisk and Lexar are the best brands, try checking if it's real or not (shouldnt have anything to do with it anyways).

Lexar cards are no better than ebay. My close friend bought a 4 gig one from Frys. It can only save up to 2 gig, anything else that's put on there becomes corrupted. This is exactly what happens to many ebay fake sony/sandisk cards. Also many say plug-in's won't work properly with Lexar cards.

Get a SanDisk Ultra II Memory Stick. There offer up to 8GB. I just bought one for a little over $100. I'm sure you could get a 4GB for less than $65. SanDisk are famous for their high compatibility. If an 8GB works on mine, I'm sure a 4GB will be perfect for you.

Hmm, curious...I got my 4GB Lexar card from Fry's as well :-\. It was on sale or something...dirt cheap as well (I think it was like 35 bucks or something?). But yeah...it's strange how my particular card's not working with the PSX games :-(. Another quick question though: Have any of y'all tried playing Tomba!/Tombi! on your PSPs (not the one you buy through Sony's store)? I tried d/l-ing several versions of the game...and well, it keeps freezing at a certain point in the game (I cannot progress any further)? I'd appreciate any feedback on this issue as well.
Thanks

Since you can run it from your sandisk card, I'd say it's definitely the Lexar's problem. I'm not at all surprised, it's cheap for a reason.

About Tomba! Are you on 3.52 m33 yet? It has an expanded psx support. Give it a try if you haven't.

Hmm...'cause the Fry's guy said something like, "You're getting quite a deal...it normally costs twice as much.", I figured I was getting a bargain :-( (I guess not). Oh well, I guess I'll just give it to my dad for his Sony camera or something (seems alright for that). And as for the firmware I'm running: I was running 3.03oe-c for the longest time, and was very happy with it (had my XMB and all that totally customized). Tried 3.40oe-a just for Tomba!, got past the FMV problem (where they get stuck and all)...but it still freezes at that part. Plus, I was upset 'cause I couldn't use the same XMB customizables for that firmware. What's this 3.52 m33 I'm hearing about? Is it as safe as Dark Alex's stuff? How do I go about installing it on my PSP, and can I easily go back to the OE firmware if I feel the need to? Sorry if I'm asking too much.
Thanks

m33 is very similar to oe. xmb customization, recovery menu, the whole package. Also included is the almost 100% no-umd option. (It was included by sony in the official firmware).

It installs/recovers exactly like OE, follow instrucions carefully.

Hmm, okay. Thanks a lot! Question though: IF I DON'T like it (the 3.52 m33 firmware), how can I go about going back to 3.40oe-a firmware or w/e? Is it as easy as just d/l-ing a 3.40oe-a "easy installer", and installing it over the 3.52 m33 firmware? Or, is it an entirely different process altogether?
Thanks

You might be safer to first recover to 1.5. Just run the recovery winstaller. From there you can run the 3.40Oe winstaller again.

as unsafe as it may be buying from Ebay, I bought both of my sony 4gb memory cards, real by the way from a trusted australian Ebayer and no problems i dont know whether its becuase i bought t from ebay.com.au and it less likely to be scammed? or i was just lucky. I use ebay for many things :P

and yeh i heard there is a 8 gig card as well next is gonna be 16 gig but i think your gonna have to wait a while since they have created it just not released it yet and that in stores will cost you as much as you payed for your psp. Its worth it if you want the convineance of alot of games on it and movies music and heaps of stuff.

But hey 4gig is heaps am i right??
