okay i dont want to go buy nero works great but is there any other programs out there that will burn and work with dvd shrink? please help me here!!! i have used my free 14 day trial with nero and i cant find any other programs to burn with and suggestions??

You can burn w/ the free ImgBurn - great burning program.
Install this .exe for Shrink - link.
The when you click backup under select backup target pick 'iso image file and burn with ImgBurn'.

What says access denied?
Need the full error message it the error is coming from ImgBurn.

it is really confussing me. nero seemed so much easier. but i can not get it anymore. so if i understand right . i have both dvd shrink and ImGBurn programs on my computer. i use dvd shrink like normal but changed the backup to a isop file. ( that is where i got the error). and then go back to ImG burn and open the file and burn?

Yes you would just pick that option - 'iso image file and burn with ImgBurn'
ImgBurn will pick the burning part when Shrink is done encoding.
The exe for Shrink that you downloadded - you just extract that to the dvd shrink in program files.

Go to edit>preferences>file i/o tab in Shrink. Uncheck 'enable burning with Nero'.

i got it to work with out having to use img roxio did it in stead. when i saved it as iso image file it automatically did it in roxio. but thank you anyways you were a BIG help
