well i have recently downloaded 3 games that are RAR. file from pspiso.com and i have extracted them using winrar. Then i put the games onto my psp successfully and when i select one of them the psp loads that white psp page and then goes grey after that and stays like that. I can get out of it by pressing home and all but that doesn't solve my problem on being able to play the games. Any suggestions?

The games were GTA liberty city stories, need for speed most wanted and ratchet and clank size matters. Just recently downloaded a cso file (wipeout pure) and it works fine on the psp wondering if the isos are bad or maybe i'm extracting it wrong don't know to be honest

That could very well be-The games you are downloading, do they come in a rar archive with a bunch of files inside of it like: .rar,rar.000, rar.001,002..etc? If so, you would need to extract the first one in the series which is the .000 file and that is what extracts the iso for you...I know Ratchet and Clank requires a higher processor speed, at least 266-300mhz to run properly..I dont know if you know how to get into the recovery console or not-that is where you would change your CPU speed...Access this by fully turning off your psp,(hold power switch up for about 5 seconds) then while turning it back on-hold down the R trigger button..You will be presented with a blue screen with a menu-Scroll down to "cpu speed" and select that, and you can change both options (XMB & ISO/UMD)to either 266 or 300mhz-It will not harm your psp at all-the only downside is decreased battery time..Give this a try, if you continue to have troubles with the iso's-consider downloading different ones until you get a winner..

well, how are you extracting them? I assume you are using winrar to extract the files? The games you downloaded, what do they look like inside the rar archive? is it a bunch of folders or just two like: UMD_DATA.BIN & PSP_GAME??

Actually just find out how to look at the rar file thing and it says umd_data.bin and psp game folder what does this mean. Yes i extract them using winar and extract by right clicking the file and selecting extract to selected folder and then i'm off

if u looked inside this "rar" file and u see psp folder and umd.bin something like that, thats a ISO file!
do not extract this file at all pls.. just put this whole thing into ur iso folder and it should work?

yeah, thats the iso itself...the UMD_DATA, etc..you need to unassociate winrar with the iso files...like this...
go into options, then settings so you get this window...
Be sure to uncheck ISO-

Then when you download a game, all you have to do is extract what appears to be just a single file rather than the two folders...
If you come across a downloaded game that has a bunch of rar folders inside the main archive-like: pirated_game.rar, pirated_game.000, pirated_game.001, etc...you want to extract the first folder in the series, which is the .000 file-that will pull the information from those other numbered files and create a single iso file which you can put on your psp....

Okay i've unckecked the iso bit in that winrar sttings but the game still goes grey when i select it on the psp to play it and it does this with 3 different extracted games i'm starting to think there's a problem with the psp and not the iso because i've followed your instructions with caution

DO you have your "use no-UMD" disabled in the recovery console? Also do you have a UMD game inserted in the drive? Try those things, and see if it helps at all..

It sounds like you are doing it correctly...The files you are downloading, inside the main archive, is there just the iso, or is there a bunch of numbered extension rar folders? ex: game.rar,game.000,game.001,.002,etc..? And you said earlier that some games work? Have you tried downloading another copy of the game you are having troubles with-from a different location?
