Homebrew ISO's, do you mean to say downloaded ISO's?
If you're on any CW you don't need one, you run them straight from the "game" folder.

CW is custom firmware. It lets you run homrbrew and ISO's and neat stuff. If your on 1.50 update to custom firmware (3.03oe-c, 3.40oe-a, 3.51M33, or 3.52M33) Then you can run ISO's from the ISO folder on your PSP.

Then upgrade to custom firmware. Pick your custom firmware from http://dl.qj.net Then read the readme and install and you can run ISO's from the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick. =]

The best thing for you to do is go to a "custom firmware", either 3,40 OE-A or 3.52 M33, in my opinion 3.40 OE-A is the best of the two at the moment.
Here is the easy installer for it: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/55 (choose the first file)
If you need any help then just ask.

Sorry about all these posts out of turn after replies its because of the noob thing and i cant post twice within 3 minutes.
Do you have any custom firmware to recommend as i have no idea what to go for or what would work best with the iso's that i have.

See above for the auto-installer i suggested, it should make the upgrade pretty easy and your ISO's should all work, unless they are of very very new games, then you may need 3.52 M33, but i'd suggest you stick to 3.40 OE-A until you need to upgrade to play the newer games.

No the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick.

Sorry for confusion, what i meant was the game folder in the XMB, you need to place your ISO's in a folder called "ISO" on your memory stick root, once you upgrade to 3.40 OE-A, format your memory stick and it should be created automatically
EDIT: Ahh, you beat me lol

Okay that sounds weird, are you sure you followed it correctly, 'cos 1.0, that's pretty impressive! It was the first firmware and hardly ANYONE has it any more.

Well, you have to format your memory stick for the folders to appear, but you should have 3.40 OE-A not 1.00...

Well, for some reason you've gone to firmware 1.00, so get the EBOOT for firmware 1.5 (the normal update) and upgrade to 1.5, then re-run the program, not sure what went wrong, make sure it's the "340oeEasy.exe" program
