i am using a belkin G+ mimo wireless router but i cant get my psp to connect to the network my laptop is running off. being a pure noob i'd appreciate someone giving me some help in trying to configure it. i'm running xp pro and my psp is v. 2.01.
If your laptop can connect perfectly with no errors, you probably should upgrade your firmware to 3.40 OE-A. The higher the Firmware, the more stable and less glitchy the system runs. Custom Firmware is best, but if you don't want custom, upgrade to the highest you can (3.52 Official). But before you do that, check to ensure the switch on the left side of the PSP is in the "up" position. Also, when you try to connect to the Internet, it will auto scan for a wireless device in range for you. If it doesn't find it (and the wireless is on), unplug the cable modem and the wireless router, then plug them back in in order (Cable modem first, wait for all lights to be solid, then the wireless, wait for all lights to be solid). If it still doesn't find it, but your laptop clearly does, upgrade your Firmware. Hope this helps.
Thanx i'll give that a try. I've got 2 PSP's here. one is still on Firmware 2.01 but i'm not touching that right now till i get more advice on how to downgrade to play homebrew. i upgraded the other to the latest (3.52) so this is the one i'll try to go w/less with now. when i'm scanning it is finding my network and asking for my WEP. I'm doing all this and saving my settings but when i test the connection its saying an error has occurred, a connection to the access point could not be established. check my security settings and try again.
I'm havin the same issue with a HP pocket pc now. cant get it to connect to the Belkin wireless router that my laptop is running off. can anyone help plz. ??
