I am trying to back-up one of my Dvd's and can't seem to get it on my HD. Using decryptor it gets all the way to the last VOB and I get a message I/O Error Devise [1:0:0] HP DVD Writer....
Sicsi Status oxo2
Interpretation: Check Condition

The Decryptor log lists:
Failed to read sector 3381025 Unknown (positioning error)
Failed to Decrypt VTS_04.1 VOB

I have also tried smart ripper and DVD Shrink. Is there something wrong with my DVD reading the disc, could this be because of damage on the disc (it's not a new one)?

I have successfully backed up many of my DVD's, so I do know how. Thanks

i had this problem and I just did it a couple of times with decryptor to do just the VOB that I was having trouble with. I was finally able with brute repetition (3rd or 4th try) of cleaning and running decryptor to overcome the VOB error. Once you have the first 3 vob's, you can have decryptor just do the VOB that you are having trouble with.
