Hi, I'm new here :P
And got some doubts :x

1. What's the best speed for burning? Some people say I should always use the minimum speed of the media, but other people say that I should always burn with half of the maximum speed.

2. I heard Verbatim is the best media around, but is Sony first class too? Or I really should pick Verbatim?

3. Is it inevitable that backups will force the Wii's reader and eventually "destroy" it? Many people complained about that with PS2, I don't want to break my Wii, since I'm trying to give it best quality backups :D

1. I suggest burning at 4X.

2. I suggest using Verbatim DVD(+ or -)R 8X.

3. If you use good media then the Wii should last as long as if you were running originals the whole time,

Thanks, too bad I'm only finding Verbatim 16x around here :P

I would not suggest using 16X. I've had a lot of problems with them. Try Sony 8X or if you have them Taiyo Yuden 8X.

What burning speed did you use on Verbatim 16x?
I heard ideal was 8x for them :O

I do not use 16X anymore. Had too many problems with them. But really you just burn at 4X with all of them.
