ERROR 13..and lost in the (x) box..HELP!

I had a friend who softmodded my xbox.
He didn't give me any back up discs or anything. and me, being, well me, installed the unleash and the evox and now it's giving me an ERROR 13 code.
I can still play video games...
I don't know how to get my dashboard and stuff back.
I have searched your website pretty good, and just when I think I get it figured out...I don't...
Please Please help me fix this.

and i can't get ahold of the guy that did
another friend of mine told me to use splinter cell
but i just don't know what to do

well..........
seeing as i do not have a dashboard to see the menu with,
this isn't going to help.
I also don't have an AR USB plug.
I've tried everything.
I'm about to use it for target practice!

why dont you go get the games listed and try them with the softmod installer thats already on your xbox....
or hotswap.

i did hun.
it just keeps comin up as error 13
once i got a 14
then a 20
now back to 13
i've tried a regular xbox live splinter cell game but it has no place to click live play or online play or whatever.
so that won't work.
and i have downloaded and done exactly what that link told me to.
i'm not completly dooberish, just getting frusterated.
I really appreciate all your help by the way!

you dont want it to say play online you want to pick resume or continue or whatever to load a saved game and just load your linux save.

it's not working!
THERE IS NOTHING UNDER LOAD GAME
oops
even after i saved it nothing about linux or anything.
is it hopeless yet??

If it's playing games, just insert either an AID disc or a Slayers disc and reinstall the dash!

i can't
i have download the slayer thing 4 times from 4 diffeent sites.
it does nothing.
how do i get an AID disc?

i suppose that is the best way to get people to where they need to be..an all in one page..easy to read too...
maybe i'm not burning these discs right..
i downloaded the XBINZ from Megaload...
gonna try it now..

I GIVE UP!
my nero will not burn any dvd data discs. it keeps saying illegal disc and cannot start disc at once. i tried upgrading it but the F(*&^@'s want MORE money.
i'm gonna burn the xbox too.
just cuz.
or anyone want it for target practice???

i'm not seeing it
all i want is the xbins burned
nero says illegal disc
cannot start disc at once
i hav looked through so many of your forums and all through that link and i just can't get it.
my kid can still play his regular xbox games but is so angry at me that he can't play his emulaters.
i'm not so technical as to be able to do what it says under hotswap.
i'd probably end up ruining both.
i just want a regular xbox back.
i am exhausted messing around.

nope. no luck. i think my only hope is hot swapping and man that looks hard!!!
plus i think i need new burners.
the programs are not working.
not for dvd's.
they will burn cd's.
i have replaced nero and downloaded imgburn.
still screwed.

they should fit on a cd. if not then let me know and i can try my best to start working on an autoinstaller for you that will fit on a cd and will just reinstall your dashboard

it did fit on a cd but won't boot when put in xbox.

dude, firstly calm down
second, when u said that you got the games and got the errors which game did ya use my friend has all three softmod enabled versions for sale a £30 a pop i think their quite rare and he has three mem cards for sale with the games one with each so ill ask him if he can lend ya one but you will have to pay postage their and back
ok? if not, i cant think what ya can do... if ya send it me or maybe chunkhead (if he has it) we could probably get it running again as we AID disc so we could get it running but like i said you would have to pay for postage
