Burners not recognised as burners

Pioneer dvr-107d and pioneer dvr-110d have stopped working as burners as windows and software don't recognise them as burners anymore. They are recognised as cd roms, which is sad.

Anyone familiar with this type of problem? Help would be appreciated as I am out of ideas.

try uninstalling the drives in device manager reboot and let windows reinstall them then see if they work.also i would uninstall the IDE Channels to before rebooting

Thanks, I should have thought of uninstalling the drives myself, never ever would have thought of the ide channel. Thanks for the suggestions I'll see how I go.
