please help trying to downgrade 2.71

ok im trying to downgrade a 2.71 to 1.5 and then to 3.40oea on my girlfriends psp,i have a psp and its 3.40oea and i did that ok i was on 2.81 then 3.03 and then did the steps to get 3.40oea, can anyone give me a link or some help on the matter,i tried one site but it didnt seem to work, here psp is the same as mine its not a ta 082 or anything like that.
1.5 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.03 >GTA LCS< 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
1 semibrick recovered back to 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
white TA-082 fully bricked using wrong downgrade another white TA-082 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.40oe-a then to 3.52m33 > 1.5 > 3.80 ofw > pandora battery & magic memory stick to get 1.5 then 3.52m33 > 3.71m33 > 3.80m33, psp's still alive!!!

Well, you could do the same with her PSP as you did with yours as you already have what's needed (upgrade to 3.03 then down to 1.5)
Or you can use this downgrader.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB |

i used that downgrader and it fully bricked the psp so i just took it back and replaced it with a new one,i only bought it yesterday,i did what it said and the screen went red and then shut down after about a minute or so,and then it just wouldnt turn back on, i just had the green light on and that was it,does anyone know why it might have bricked.

The downgrader i linked to can only be used with the older motherboards. The new PSP you bought wouldn't have been able to work with it (it tells you how to check in the downgrader if you have a newer motherboard), with the new PSP you would have had to do the 3.03 downgrader. Just wondering, where did you manage to get new a 2.71 firmware PSP?

well im from australia and i got it from harvey norman,its the new white psp, i checked the motherboard thing and theres no wrighting on any side, its the same as my psp,exept that its white,and i dont really want to try and downgrade again because if it stuffs up i cant take it back again they will get a bit sus about it,and i cant take it back to another store, because its about an hour and a half away.both the psp's are 2.71 (the one i took back and the new one that i have, i would probly give another go if i new someone that has tryied it with a white psp with 2.71.

Not sure about white psp's, it's pretty good that you can just exchange it if you get a brick. But... i'm not sure why the downgrader's not working, if it's not worked on 2 psp's already, then there's something wrong. I would suggest you upgrade to version 3.50 and use the 3.50 downgrader which uses the game Lumines (so you'd need to get that if you want to do it)

no ive only tried it on one psp im just to scared to try it on the new one that i got in exchange,because if i brick it,i cant take it back.

Oh ok, well, i've not heard of it being done with australian psp's, but it should still work, the red screen and then turn off is supposed to happen, but it bricked, so i don't know.

well iv got the 3.03 update file,but i cant remember what to do with it,were do i put it and do i have to rename it,and do i need anything else

You mean for the 3.03 downgrader? With that you'd need an unpatched version of GTA:LCS.

shit the psp i bricked is differnt to mine it does have IC1003 on the inside does that mean its a TA 082,i cant beleive i didnt see that
