New Update + Action Replay?

I was planning on buying an Action Replay (1.14b I believe lets you add codes) and an SD Gecko for my Nintendo Wii, however, I have read in other places that this update has caused some unlicensed GameCube software, such as the Action Replay, to stop working. Can anyone confirm this to be the case? If this is true, does the SD Media Launcher work? I do not have a modded Wii. Thanks for any help!

That's not good. Is there anyway to run an Action Replay without modding your Wii (does it even work if it is modded)? Also, it's probably not possible, but could you downgrade the firmware back to 2.2, or are you stuck at 3.0? Thanks again for any help!
