Hello, I was just wondering if it's safe to remove my Java update 1 from my programs. When I check my add/remove programs, I have two of them(update 1&2) and they're taking up alot of room on my pc. Thanks to anyone who can help. Oh, I'm running windows xp.

Thank you for answering. I want to keep my java, just wanted to make sure it was okay to delete the update 1. I went ahead and removed it and everything is working great. Thanks again.

It is a "bug" of Java that it does not remove prior versions.

Anytime there is a Java update, the prior versions should be removed as they can pose a security risk.
