DVD Sound Problem

I downloaded a DVDr from a foreign site, but do not really understand their language.

As I said I downloaded a DVDr movie. I extracted it and when I play it I can see it perfectly, hear all the background noises of the movie, but the dialog is very faint? What am I doing wrong? I mount the image with deamon and play with VLC. Will this problem be fixed if I burn the movie. One other thing....every one under this download has comments saying thanks, great quality, etc?!
