Oh great Wiimasters, please do not flame an innocent Wii n00b. :)
So anyway, I have had my Wii for a while now and have purchased one or two of the Virtual Console games...it's kind of ridiculous considering I OWN the cartridges. I have been considering installing the WiiKey. I haven't seen a clear answer to this so thanks for your responses...If I install the Wiikey, I should be able to emulate and run ROMS for most games? Does this run pretty smoothly? Will this use the classic controller I purchased for the Wii. Thanks in advance for any help.
No...so what controls do I use...a keyboard? Do you think there will be an update to the Wiikey disc to allow the wii remote and classic controller to be used? Thanks
It would never be possible to use the classic controller, The control itself is powered by InfraRed/Bluetooth - This was a feature for the "Wii Games" and system so to speak, when they did the gamecube part they left it as it was on the original GC, Being that we have to boot this way we are limited by the Systems hardware, no Wiikey update could fix this, Now if they found a way to burn the Emulators using the Wii Part of the console then you should be able too but good Luck it may take them awhile if never.
If (once) wii homebrew is figured out, it'd be possible to cater emulators in that region, and possibly use the classic remote. Until then, you're stuck with the gamecube ports.
i don't get it, why does it matter if you to burn a gc iso? it still works the same and you can use the wavebird, so does it really matter? or better yet go buy a xbox and softmod it and you can have whatever emus and roms your little heart can desire.....and just so no one flames me for this, i do have a wii and it's chipped, and use the gc iso for emus every once in awhile.....lates
