Halo 3 hits 1 million pre-orders

Microsoft announced this morning that Halo 3 had become the fastest selling pre-ordered game in history, with over 1 million copies already paid for.
Hoping to add to that total, Microsoft is launching a huge promotional campaign that includes ad campaigns with Mountain Dew, 7-Eleven, Pontiac, Comcast and Burger King.

Tho halo 2 is by far my most fav fps it aint all that even an old game like sniper elite is up there with it as farcry evolution and a number of others,there are a number of issues with halo the worst would be wtf is it with the weapons taking up 1/2 the bloody screen..lol..

I dunno Halo 2 has more weapons but less balance,same for vehicles I really loved the Halo 1 vehicles an wish that was a option you could chose,also Halo 1 has a more developed story/plot/charatcers.
Devs are to focused on creating self important lil worlds to realize lil options and cheats can add a ton of fun and madness to the game.

halo 3 is worse than halo 2.im a sony kinda guy but my friends had an xbox and i friggin loved halo.it was so amazing but once i played the 2nd one i was pissed.the dual wield is gay the gameplay hasnt changed.then i also played the beta and its practically the same thing!it mite be the best selling game but it certainly wont be the best.the best of the hd games will be assasin's creed.
and also this will be the only half decent game on the 360.dont tell me gears of war cuz everyone does and its shit anyway.socom,resistance and motorstorm are wayyyyy better.

the thing is, this year, if you need an FPS multiplay fix, UT3 will overdose you, where as halo is a mild sedative compared to UT3.
and even now UT2k4, and CS:S is a much better MP FPS.

The dual weliding was not a problem it was just un polished,you should be able to keep at the least 3 weapons and change them around as needed(inventory menu where you can cycle through possible combos),and you should be able to dual wiled everythign but the sniper rifle(and the energy version) and the rocketluancher(and its energy version).
Halo 2 lacks a lot of polish and dual wilding is more a glitch than a feature...

Doubt it Halo has a greater following.
and I am so unimpressed with U3(they changed to the name seems they are screwing about with more than just the name) then gain I thought 04 was a let down and add on to 03 least it made it a finished game......altho it still sucks.

if someone is better than you at a game, it must be that they are fanboys. and there must always be an excuse to why you suck... there just always is.
oh oh and if a game or console is successful, its not that the product is good, its just because of the mindless fanboys. thats why the ps2 did so well...

No the Xbox has the stronger fan boys the PS2 main selling points were more games and free net ,look at the ratio of good to bad it it comes to abotu the same LOL
I suck at halo mainly because it dose not aim liek a normal console FPS.

I'm no fanboy for Sony or Microsoft. I never played Halo until I got a 360. But I played Halo, then Halo 2, and I really enjoyed the single player campaigns. I just recently got into Halo CE for the PC, and it's a fun game. I will probably buy Halo 3 sometime after launch because I enjoyed the first 2 games. I bet there are a lot of people who feel the same way. We're not all fanboys.
