Wii Update 3.0 clarification

Ok so i have hesitated to post this but I have searched 3 forums and have gotten no straight answer on the following.

1) so we know the bootdisc dosent directly load anymore (Big Deal) But Can we still do Direct boots of GC Back-Ups with no swap disc?

2) Along the Same Lines Is it still possible to direct boot the Emulators disc?

3) If our systems are not updated can we still access the Shopping Channel and the Internet being I saw some changes with those in the new Wii update.

Any clarification would be appreciated

Unless you have the firmawre you bought your console with yes but if you have the orignal one that came with it no you never could in the 1st place.

ok sorry man that made absolutly no sence, Last I knew I could access the wii shopping channel the news and weather and my modchip has been in throughout the Updates, I dont have to use swap discs for my Emulators or gamecube games and Im just wondering If I upgrade to 3.0 will I still not have to use swap discs to boot up my GC and Emu discs

2) Along the Same Lines Is it still possible to direct boot the Emulators disc?Ive only heard it stops the Freeloader from working so if you are booting emulators via chip not free loader you should be fine.

3) If our systems are not updated can we still access the Shopping Channel and the Internet being I saw some changes with those in the new Wii update. I think it will try to update your console if you go to the shopping channel so id say 50.50 there.
Interent channel yea its not the wii firmware its a seperate 3rd party browser by Opera.

Thanx for Clearing that up for me! The reason I stated Swap disc was because the Wiikey update Disc is a GC disc and now you need that special swap method to boot it up so I was wondering if that went the same for all GC games but apparently not, So I think Im still going to hold off awhile before I update and see if there are any new improvements on the Way.
