i have a modded wii and ive been trying to burn a game to play. but so far, ive tried 4 discs and none of them worked. i have used GQ dvd -r discs, TDK dvd-r (printable), and they both dont work. oh, and im using a pioneer drive to burn it.. so i dont know whats wrong, can anyone help?

what modchip do you have? what program are you using to burn them? at what speed do you burn them? does your Wii play originals fine?

the modchip i have.. is the wiikey, and im using imageburn with 1-2x speed, and my wii play and sports play fine

have u tried a working disc? from friend or something? if it don't work, it's likely becauuse u didn't mod u wii good

none of my friends have a modded wii.. so maybe its not modded good, and i dont have any wiikey firmware on it

Try burning at a higher speed like 4x or 6x. I always use Verbatims 16x and burn at 6x and I have never had a DRE.

I use just Verbatim Discs. My drive is a Memorex (I think one of the worst around, but still works).

ok, do i need a setup disc to configure the wiikey first in order to play backups? because ive tried everything and nothing worked

some Wiikey clones require the setup disc to be used before it will read any burnt games

Yes, and some wiikey clones don't even play originals if you don't insert the setup disk. Use the setup disk, if it doesn't work, then something went wrong with the chip or the installation.
