I have been trying to shrink Disk 5 and 6 of Season 3 of '24'. I have ripped them to the hard disk using DVDFAB Decrypter HD. Every time I try to shrink these disks DVDShrink gets to 98% and then just stops and closes. No error messages, no nothing. Windows is fine, DVDShrink is just not running any more. To get around this I tried to VOBBlank the disks first into two disks but still needed to shrink the two disks about 5% to make them fit a disk. Tried to shrink the VOBd disks and same thing - stops and shuts down at about 98%. Any suggestions? Never experienced this with any other disk.

Thanx!

Sounds like it could be a heat issue...open your case and make sure your fans are working properly and blow out the dust bunnies while you are there.

Actually, Titleist had it - it was a heat issue! I never would have believed it but I took the machine out and blew it out with compressed air, reseated the heatsink and it worked fine. Couple weeks later during some hot weather it did it again so I took the side cover off and its been fine ever since!

Thanx!

If you continue to have heat issues you may want to replace the thermal grease on your CPU or add in more fans. Arctic Silver 5 Thermal grease is great in keeping the CPU cool.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I had planned on putting on new heat sink grease and looking at getting a better fan for the system. You wouldn't think that a Celeron would be that hard to cool!

I run mine at 104F with about 50% CPU Constant (Low 90s Idle)
