Download the installer. Ensure that you have the 1.50 and 3.52 EBOOT's renamed 150.PBP and 352.PBP stored in the folder without the %. Once it extracts the files and combines it with the PSP tags, it will generate an installer and the DATA.PSAR. There is no need to copy over the data file, it will be moved to the newly created folders for you. Just run the blue-background installer. Afterwards, don't forget to install update #2 for 3.52. The update fixes a few bugs and ISO/CSO compatibility issues.

First things first. Go into USB Mode. Right-click on your memory stick drive and format it (uncheck the quick). Then go back into the XMB (the PSP main screen). Go to Settings\Game Settings\Format Memory Stick. Then go to this site and follow every step exactly as written: http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=2732 *Thanks exophase*
Once installed, format your memory stick again in the XMB only this time. Then go to: http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=2931. Follow those instructions to the letter and install update #2 for 3.52. Yes you need the update. You're done!

You are not installing 3.51 M33, you want to install 3.52 M33-2. There is a difference, especially in stability. Ensure that you're running Firmware 1.50 (Official) and that you have deep formated your memory stick in Windows and in the XMB, in that order. Assuming you have done this much correctly, follow those links, following the instructions to the letter. Do not try anything else, don't try to experience, no what-if-I-try-this, just do as it explicitly instructs. If this still fails, and you are doing what I/exophase says, try using a different Memory Stick Pro Duo. If that doesn't work, your PSP is corrupted and there is nothing you can do about it. If all else fails and you have done everything correctly, use that warranty. Return the PSP to the store you bought it at, not Sony. Sony will be able to know that you've voided your warranty.
