I actualy hate this format.... it is proving to be 127.5% IMPOSSIBLE for me to ever get this to work...
all i ever get is a file converted to a wav file in ATRAC3 format!?
WHAT!?
Why not just an AT3? Even if i rename the file SND0.AT3 the STUPID POPSTATION doesnt recognse it because obviously the actual filename is SND0.AT3.WAV and even if i delete the .wav it DOES recognise but still doesnt run in the XMB
Goodness gracious great balls of FIRE
Anyone know how to get this to work?
Please dont use computer language too much because i dont get it.. yeah?

actually i seem to have solved it myself haha.
You need a program called "Wavepad" - can be found easily (as can the cracks for the full version)
Just cut down a track to 20-30 secondsusing wavepad - the click save as,
save as a wav file - if you have atrac3 installed on your system you will be able to select that as the codec and make the file in 66kbps stereo.
Name it SND0.wav
Then go to the folder that it is saved to and click on tools, folder options, then the view tab.
and UNTICK hide extensions for known file types.
So then your file will say SND0.wav - its as simple as renaming it now to SND0.at3. your eboot converter should now recognise it and you should be able to add it to your custom eboot theme.
If your popstation or whatever accepts the file but you dont hear it on your psp - try shortening the SND0 file a bit - as if it exceeds a certain size it doesnt work
Please dont use computer language too much because i dont get it.. yeah?

actually i dont. I have had so many issues trying to get a couple of these games to work that i havent really had time to think about that.
It would probably take some time to get it researched though. I will gladly share if i find out before you do.

just for general knowledge, there is a program similar to the psx one your describing for PS2 games as well, if your ever interested in that, i could search around and see if i can find what it was called, but it was nifty.

I tried to do the SND0.at3 although I can't seem to get it to go in the eboot even with the eboot unpackers. Oh well, at least theres still IR shell for teh music in xmb.
