Wireless Controller Windows Vista Problem HEEELP!!!

Alright... so I saw some video of miste gates saying that if u have windows vista u can just plug ur xbox controller in the usb and it'll work, Ive been doing research and everybody confirms it GREAT HUH!? well problem is that when I plug my wireless xbox controller ( with the plugable cable from the batt pack ) it says that it cant find drivers for it, I downloaded the drivers from online and nothing, my Xplorer guitar works great tho... so if anyone knows how to fix this problemo please lemme know cuz I dont wanna spend another 30 bucks on the wireless reciever

if by "plugable cable from the batt pack" you mean the play nd charge kit cable, then i'm afraid you're out of luck as this does not work. the play nd charge kit is only a means to power the wireless controller. it does not make it into a wired usb controller so that it can be plugged into a pc

You need a wireless adapter for your PC they cost $20
