Another person doomed with 3.52.
At present there is no way to downgrade this version, up to 3.50 and you're fine, above that and you're stuck. And you'll be stuck for a while, downgraders are pretty few and far between, you may have to wat quite a few months for a downgrader to come out so that you can downgrade.
As you may or may not know, custom firmware can only be installed from version 1.50, or another custom firmware, so, you can't get either. The only thing you can do is sit tight, or try and swap with a mate who has version 3.50 or lower so you can downgrade to 1.50.
At the moment, there are two new people making custom firmware for the psp, as the last guy, DAX, has now left the scene. The last firmware DAX did was called 3.40 OE-A (and imo it's probably still the one to go for).
One of the new groups is called Team M33 and they've released 3.52 M33 (which other people will debate is the best). The newest group to present themselves is called Team Wildc*rd, and they've just released their first firmware, 3.40* LE.

Well, as far as from a coding perspective i suppose sony would probably be better, but they don't let you do anything with your psp, so these indepndent guys are far better.

Well, as i said, you can't use these different firmware's until you can downgrade to version 1.5 as they have to be updated from a homebrew enabled firmware. You'll still have to wait until there is a downgrader before you can get an OE or a M33 firmware.

To 1.5, that's how you can install custom firmware. But you can't until there is a downgrader for 3.52.

If you use the 3.50 downgrader, i think it's around 1 in 40 PSP's brick.
