Ok so I was one of those morons who updated there firmware with 3.51 I fortunately didn?t go to 3.52 but ok, I'm working on a downgrader for the rest of you morons including myself, my current plan is to actually mod the firmware version 3.50 and tricking the PSP into thinking its actually firmware 3.52 or if you downloaded firmware 3.32 then tricking the PSP into believing that it is actually firmware 3.33.

Ok so today I started my project and I have got as far as to get firmware version 3.50 to boot up and get to the starting firmware upgrade screen but then I get a error so once I have figured it out I will post my results and the modded firmware versions.

Warning though I own a JAP PSP and I'm not sure how or if it will work with any other regions although I'm quite confident it will.

So anyway I need official firmware version 3.52 so I can update my PSP with it and start hacking it once I have completed the 3.51 downgrade.

So yes I'm willing to destroy my PSP for you lot but someone has to be.

I'll be posting my results.

Anyone have a download link to official firmware 3.32?

Anyone who is willing to help PM me and I will send you a copy of the hacked files I have managed to do so far.

Thanks

Cloudkill.

That's because you're an idiot. What the hell is the point of updating to 3.51, without researching first. The Noobz aren't going to hack it, they already said. They most likely aren't going to try and hack 3.52, they will probably wait till more firmware's get released.

it'll probably take another 6-12 months for a new downgrader to be released :-/

I've been thinking of a more creative way of doing this. Though I'm probably wrong. What if you use the 3.52 DATA.PSP, and decrypted the 1.50 PSAR and re-encrypted it using 3.52's encryption keys. Of course disguising 1.50 PSAR as 3.52's. It probably won't work... different IPLs and stuff, but it's a thought I had.

I = UNPWNABLE.

I think ANY ideas of trying to fool a psp into "upgrading" to a fake firmware disguised as 1.50 wouldn't work, because the Sony flashers don't format flash0, it just replaces and writes stuff. So, if you tried to do a 1.50 update disguised as 3.59 or something, the 1.50 files (which are bigger, compared to the same files on 3.51, and less of them) would probably overload the 32 MB of flash space, resulting in a brick. Alternatively, the firmwares would mix, making the psp very confused and probably prompt a red screen of death.
