I was unable to make a working backup with my LG burner using Verbatim DVD-R and ImgBurn. However, the website tells that using TDK DVD+R with CloneCD and burning at 2x works flawlessly, which is true. I never had a DRE since then.

I just hope this is gonna be useful to someone!
