Hey guys, I have a PS3 and I want to start playing online. The thing is, i don't know which router to get. I was thinking of a belkin N1, but i heard some complaints about that. Can you guys please give me suggestions so i know which router to get, ones that have perfect connection. Also, are sony going to make a special router for their ps3??

I have a Linksys WRT54GS with speedbooster built in and once i had opened the ports needed for the ps3 which made the ps3 have a NAT type 2, there have been no problems what so ever!!!!!!

Netgear Rangemax in my basement; i'm two floors up in my bedroom (where the PS3 is). I've never lost connection. I remember some people saying sometimes the connection gets cut off--I've never experienced such things.

I think it's straw...or sticks. My neighbor's might be made out of brick. Just in case things go huff and puff around here, I'll be safe.

lol

Anyway, no, it's not timber framing; although, taking a look at some houses that utilize timber framing, I wouldn't mind it lol.

I use a Linksys WRT54G (ver 5) with DD-WRT on it (custom firmware based on linux). Puts out a signal that can be picked up from about a quarter of a mile away.

Needless to say, only one floor down and I have never dropped a connection and get fantastic download speeds over the wireless.

I have a Buffalo WHR-G125 with DD-WRT firmware. It was only $25 and it works great.
