Not until we get a downgrader for a future firmware, and we will probably have to port it to the slim because it's motherboard will definitely have some added security.

(+[__]%) put this psp in ur siggy. just do it.
PSP Firmware: constantly changing, currently GoldenEye.

But, who's to say that when the PSP slim is eventually hacked, Sony won't have upped security again after saying "F*ck, we screwed up again"? By the time the PSP slim original firmware is hacked, there'll be new firmwares in the box. I'm getting one at launch (or as close to it as possible, I'm poor) so when it is hacked, I'll be ready.

Because Sony also makes money off of games. People who pirate games are essentially stealing from Sony. That's why they are against hackers.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as English, but I'll interpret it as best I can.

Hardware (systems) normally COST the manufacturer money (look at PS3). Say it costs $300 to make a PSP and they retail it for $199.99 (obviously I just made up the numbers). They are expecting to make the money back on the games (cost for making = minimal, meaning high markups). Even so, I work at a highly trafficked game store. For every $500,000 CAD (approx) that we earn, we make about $70,000 profit. Most of this is from pre-owned titles.

Now, pirated games cost the company a lot of money, and are illegal. Unless you own the original copy, copyright laws prohibit you from making copies (both in the US and Canada).

Homebrew programs are not illegal however, but if you play those then you won't be buying games, and Sony doesn't like that :)

Do a forum search for homebrew. Homebrew is everything, really.

psphacks.com Click downloads, then homebrew, that might help.

Pirating is illegally downloading games that you do not own and are ESA protected (ESA means they're under copyright). It's like stealing them I suppose.. like buying or downloading music and movies, same boat.

There are a few threads on that, but they all have people saying each is better.

I'm on 3.40oea because I, for the moment think it's more reliable. The others (Leaked edition and m33) just seem to new for me atm..
