problem with DVDfab platinum/failed burn

so I posted in one the DVDshrink forum about a problem I was having with the program.

in the meantime I tried to back something up with DVDfab platinum, and got a failed burn, but I wasn't sure what I needed to do to get an error log that I could post.

I'm concerned since both programs failed that something is wrong with my burner, even though Windows tells me it's working properly.

any help would be appreciated. thanks
