Anyway, I have one of those old Slim PS2 Model (SCPH-75003 PAL)
And want to purchase:

Swap Magic 3 Coder. Will this be compatible for my slim PS2? If so what edition must I buy?
=============================================
Swap Magic Coder With Slide Tool (PAL)
Swap Magic Coder With Magic Keys 2 (PAL)
Swap Magic Coder With Slim Tool (PAL)
Swap Magic Coder (PAL)
Swap Magic Coder With Magic Switch (PAL)
============================================

Some might remember be (karimali, liteonso) ;)

Anyway thanks for any help

Well I bought
Swap Magic Coder With Slim Tool (PAL)

but the seller from (playstationdirect.com) changed it to:
Swap Magic Coder With Pro Tool
and he said it works with all slim PS2 Models.

First of I need to double check if this is compatible with my PS 2 (VERSION) provided first post. And also is there a tutorial using the pro tool for the slim PS2?

I have got SM3 CODER Ver3.8 When I made a backup of a DVD PS2 Game it works on the fat PS2 with slide card and old swap magic, the backup DVD PS2 game doesn't work on the slim PS2 and don't have a clue how to use the tool.

I simple, booted the DVD CODER disc, ejected the drive and inserted my own rebuilt PS2 disc. The tool is very small, easy to break, not sure what to do with it. It looks something like;

http://www.modchip.ca/store/image.php?productid=16289

Anyway, is there a differetn way of making a backup with the SLIM PS2 SWAG MAGIC PRO 3 CODER PRO TOOL ? If so is there a tutorial I can read?

Thanks

i also got one of those annoying thin pieces. instead of using that i use a folded peice of paper. hard to put in but it works. try using card or a straw instead in there if you cant get that thin piece connected properly

watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jonYb8eBEbQ that should help you but the last part get a piece of card and fold it up until it fits the small slot next to the hinge on the left of the ps2 where he puts that last part. i found card works better as it doesnt slip from the sensor. maybe use one of those business cards that was sent with it but you needto cut and fold it to fit it in mind you. anyway another vid is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isEdVATXbqw&mode=related&search= but this is a home made magic keys but it shows you the basics of what needs to be done. these arent my videos so i cant help the darkness

try the other trick i use as you have the same ps2 as i. all you have to do is shove it in all the way itll go down but leave a bit sticking out so if needed you can take it back out and leave the ps2 running while your installing this card piece. i found using the slim thing made my ps2 swaitch off

Nothing helps, first tutorial is useless -- I haven't got "Magic Switch" I have got http://www.modchip.ca/store/image.php?productid=16289

SWAP TOOL RPO

2nd tutorial -> I prefer not to use a straw, pencil etc.. I have the tools and have not found a tutorial on the internet how to use it!

you also need that cd to load the game. that last tool i think doesnt work as i have the same ps2 and i have that same tool but it switches my ps2 off and doesnt even start the rotating. trust me that straw technique is way better for our ps2 than that other tool. i got my ps2 working perfectly with "back ups" now with it in. do you have swap magic or is it just the coder?

Once again I have SWAP MAGIC 3 CODER. Well I am going to complain then to playstation direct. I orderd "MAGIC SWITCH SLIM TOOL" he replaced it..

I doubt anyone would sell a tool which is called "swap tool *PRO*" if it was that hard to use so instead people use a straw and a pencil to boot up the disc with the tray open...

pathetic!

OMG Finally did it! Just open the PS2 stick the button with tape, break or remove the spring from the back of the PS2 Flip cover and add a tissue ball in that little whole *where the reset* button is = job done ;)

Hello fellow afterdawners....I am just telling everyone on this forum about swap magic....

swap magic is a great disc and works perfectly if used right...however the SLIDE TOOL IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO USE SWAP MAGIC!!!!!

after you use the slide tool to slide the white tit that opens the disc tray more than 2 or 3 times....the white tit breaks off making your ps2 never open or close again.......

MAKING YOUR PS2 USELESS....

I am not sure how swap magic works on the slim ps2 but for a full tutorial made by me for the origanal ver9 ps2Click Here
