This should get you started.

Demux the DVD with Rejig, select IFO mode, add VTS_01_0.IFO
(demuxed video is m2v, audio is ac3)
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_...tools/rejig.cfm

Covert the audio with px3 (ac3 to wav)
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PX3_AC3_to_WAV

Audacity, to adjust the wav audio and export as new wav
http://superb-east.dl.sourceforge.net/so...y-win-1.2.6.exe

ffmpeggui to covert the Audacity file back to new ac3
http://download2.videohelp.com/download/ffmpeggui03c.zip

Rejig to combine the video and new audio ac3.
Select DVD Author mode, add m2v, new ac3 .

That's demuxing the DVD.
Although Audacity can capture audio, it would be complicated to match the adjusted audio to the video without sync problems.

I'm not familiar with the Nero tool, however the audio has to be in ac3 format to be muxed together with the .m2v video file.
The FFMPGGUI tool (in my post) can convert wav to AC3.
Rejig in 'Author' mode (as indicated in my post) can mux the .m2v and .ac3 files.
There should not be any sync issue as long as the length of the audio file did not change.

Run Rejig, select 'Author' mode, load the video stream and the new AC3.
Select an output folder then click 'Create'.

Your instructions have helped me too. Just wondering in IFO mode in Rejig, whats the purpose of the recompress video option. What does this do if you leave it at %70. Also, what does the automatic offering do.

The Automatic setting will output a new DVD folder and if the source had been previously compressed with DVD Shrink, I set it to 100% - apart from that, you know as much as I do ;)

Just came across this post. I have been trying to edit the soundtrack on a DVD for a while but for different reasons. I edited the sound OK but never could figure how to convert the WAV back to AC3 and rejoin the audio and video. Thanks for the info I will try it this weekend.
