hi, im tryin to make a gameboot out of a part of a movie i have in umd, id like to know if theres a program to convert the movie in the umd to any format like mpeg4, and if theres a program to edit movies, since i only need a part of the movie

DL the movie scene you want. Then make it into a gameboot.
(+[__]%) put this psp in ur siggy. just do it.
PSP Firmware: constantly changing, currently GoldenEye.

the clip i need is on the UMD, and i want to pass it from UMD to the computer how do i do that?

Rip the UMD to your PC using USBSSS, here's a guide on using it (it also contains a download link to it).
Then use winRAR to extact it and get the movie file you want, it will be in pmf format and will have to stay like that for the psp to recognise it. Google a pmf codec to get WMP (and other video players) to be able to view pmfs.

thx, now is there a program to edit movies, i want to cut a part from the movie and make the gameboot from it, i already have the gameboot tutorial all i need is that program

ok i have a problem, after i extracted the video from the UMD to the psp it popped out as an iso file, i opened it with PowerISO and the only file i found with .pmf format was ICON1.PMF

Just keep searching around inside the ISO and you'll find more, not sure if there's a specific folder for the video files.

i searched every single file and that was the only one i found
btw im gonna extract it and try opening the pmf with WMP

OK, remember you'll need the pmf codec for WMP to recognise the file extension.

ok i think i solved the problem i just recorded the movie sound in psp the transfer it to PC if all works out fine i shall post here my gameboot
