I'm trying to hook up my 360 to Live via hooking up my 360 to my laptop then bridging the connection with my wireless router and the Xbox ethernet but it hasn't worked. I'd like to know what exactly I'm doing wrong and what settings I should be using for my router, the ethernet, the 360, etc. Thanks in advance ;)

You need to bridge the wireless connection to the ethernet connection of the PC, not the router.

Then under the wireless properties, put a check mark in ICS sharing.

By router do you mean the Xbox 360's ethernet?

The answer to all your problems with networking:

Step 1: Purchase xbox compatible Wireless Router
Step 2: Connect Modem to Wireless Router
Step 3: Connect Laptop (wirelessly or wired) to Wireless Router
Step 4: Connect xBox to Wireless Router
Step 5: Enjoy

Alternative Method:
If you alread have a wireless router:
Step 1: Purchase xBox Wireless Adaptor
Step 2: Install Wireless Adaptor on xBox
Step 3: Connect Wireless Adaptor to your wireless network
Step 4: Enjoy

more or less, the xBox was not designed to share files with a computer that is giving it internet through internet connection sharing or a bridged connection. ICS is designed to share internet, not to share files. a bridged connection just isn't worth wasting your time over to get it to work either - get the right equipment and get it working right 100% faster.

I do have a wireless router and I've managed to get internet while on the bridged connection. And I've gotten past the IP test but for some reason I can't pass the DNS. And I set a different number for my IP, Subnet Mask, and Gateway. But for some reason no matter what number I set to my DNS it doesn't work. Both the Ethernet and the Wireless Router have their numbers set automatically.

Also I'm not going to buy the Adapter it's my last resort if I can't get this to work since I'm not really keen on shelling out 100 dollars. I've read LOTs of success stories on this so I don't see why i can't have one. Thanks in advance.
