GUIDE: How to SEARCH for your answer.

I think it is a sad day that one would have to make a guide on how to search. But it seems allot of members on this site are clueless when it comes to searching properly.
I would say 90% of the new threads started daily have been asked and answered already in a previous thread.
These are the steps I use when searching...
1) Click on the "SEARCH MESSAGES" link at the top of the forum...
2) Click on the "Don't like this search? Try our traditional forum search instead" link.
HERE is a direct link to the traditional search page.
3) Type in a keyword or phrase that is apart of your question.
Example: Wii brick issues (The key word I will use is BRICK)
4) Choose how far back you want to search. Options are 7days/30days/90days/120days/All
5) Choose what forum you want to do the search in. (I will use the Wii section since this is where I am posting this guide)
6) Click on the SEARCH button.
Now you will get a list of results with threads pertaining the word brick in them. The search results where narrowed down to the Wii section only.

Nice job Larry! I was trying to make a sig where it would have the search bar in it, and it would say "USE THE SEARCH BAR! IT HELPS!" But it always came out too small! Once again, Nice Job!

Thanks larry, hey would you mind if I linked a couple of noobies to this? It would help alot seeing as you're right when you said 90% of the threads have already been answerd... Would be easier to link to this then run all over the place finding links lol.
