it could be but thats what clonedvd is for anydvd is used as an on the fly decrypter and clonedvd shrinks it so all you have to do is let anydvd run in the background and open clonedvd and hit clone , and click off the languages you want or dont want and put a location on you harddrive were you want th dvd files to go to.

Last night I went to Play Wild Hogs on my PC. To my supprise my DVD drive would not read it. Thats right, I could not even watch it! I had to watch it on my DVD recorder/player. (it worked fine). I tried to back up the disk useing the PC with DVD shink and Ripit4me. Nothing worked, which I guess makes sence since I can't even watch it. I am thinking it maybe a hardware isue with my drive.
My TV is a Digital projector"DLP" Playing movies on my computer looks better because of the Digital interface. I am real pissed off. Tonight I am going to try to watch it on another pc with a new DVD drive.

nothing special with this movie. Backed up using anydvd 6.1.6.5 and clonedvd. No issues, and small disc, burned full disc at 70%.

Did you format the movie after back-up? I assume you backed it up using the DVD Recorder.

My wild hogs disk worked on my brothers PC with a 2 month old DVD burner. I guess my 3 year old drive is just getting picky as it ages. Made a back-up with DVD shrink, worked great.

Have you tried DVDFab?
I'm too lazy to ponder a witty signature at the moment. ;)

DVDFab HD Decrypter does indeed rip thru Wild Hogs (Region 2 PAL) with zero effort. Any of the latest few versions will do it..

Good algorithm. I also add VobBlanker (can b found at jsoto.com on his home page. v nice program. after I back up an entire disc, I go through the entire disc with VobBlanker to blank out "suspicious" files,eg big megabyte items that have no audio or video, or even small kilo/mega byte items. I suspect they may be subliminal computer programs to corrupt the back up process or just placed there to eat up valuable disc space. Heck I even use VobB to blank out other stuff I don't want. Works well. After VobB then I compress before burn.
