Hello, I just flashed my firmware from 1.50 to 3.40 OE and it won't emulate certain games. I was told to get devhook .52 with 3.03 firmware, done that -- but how do I run ISOs with devhook?

Thanks.

Hi-if you have 3.40OE firmware, just put your iso's into the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick..If you dont have an ISO folder, just go into your system settings in the PSP menu, and select "format memory stick" the proper directory will be created for you. Then just place your iso's int the folder and select the game from the GAME icon in the psps menu..

You dont need to emulate firmwares anymore..so, devhook is pretty much obsolete these days, unless you are just using 1.50 firmware.

That's what I did and MotoGP and Killzone wouldn't run. Do I need a UMD in the tray for it to work?

The recovery menu? Is this in 3.40 OE or devhook? Also how do I get to it?

Thanks.

fully turn off the psp then hold the "r triger" while starting the psp to enter recovery mode but i would recomend updating to the new 3.52m33 cfw cuz it has almost perfect no umd suport

psp 2.82>3.03>1.50>3.40oe-a>3.51 m33>3.40oe-a>3.52m33-2>1.50>3.40oe-a>3.52m33-4

That error you are getting means you need a UMD game inserted. Make sure its a game and not a movie though..

And to get into recovery mode:
first turn your psp off completely (not standby)-hold power switch up for about 5 seconds to turn it off..
Now, while turning the psp back on, hold down the R trigger button at the same time..Your psp will boot into "recovery mode"-scroll to configuration, and then to "use no UMD"-and X it until it says "currently disabled"-then hit back, and scroll to exit, and your psp will restart...

And you dont need devhook on your system at all-so if its on your memory stick, go ahead and delete it now.

AWESOME!!!! THANKS!!!

What should I overclock my PSP to? The recovery console had two settings, which are both set as default.

You can bump them both up to 333mhz if you want to....It will just drain your battery faster though...I usually keep mine at 266mhz for most games, and will up it to 300 or 333 if I find my games lag at all..

Yes, that is rather random. Have you changed anything?

I haven't touched anything at all, I can get MOTOGP to work almost every time but my other games it's like 1 in 50 tries. Note that I use No-UMD, I don't have a UMD in the tray.

Strange, I'd toss a UMD in and try.. I can't understand why it would work for a time, then without changing anything stop working..

I've never used a movie... try whatever you have, see if there's a difference..

No, movies dont work...You need a game UMD-and its best to just keep one in the tray because some games require it while others dont..

Your other option is upgrade your firmware to 3.52M33 that has the cracked sony iso loader built-in, and from what I hear its 100% no UMD needed...But if you dont want to do all the upgrading, then just invest in a game to keep in there.

Also, can you give me the exact buttons to push, because my devhook menu is in chinese and I can't understand it?
Thanks
