please assist, I've tried every possible thing out there, I don't know why my Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 won't recognize my blank disk
:( I've been trying to figure the problem out for almost 5 hours, please help me out, the disk isn't full or anything, its a DVD-R :(
A couple of possibilities to check. I use UMF 3 which sometimes switches to DVD-9 in Preferences and won't accept DVD-5 and, also, if the blank is faulty in any way, UMF is very picky. Make sure that blank is really blank, too.
OMG, I have no clue whats up wit dis computer its like it doesn't want me to burn a dvd, it seems like everything I try, this computer won't allow it, may'be its cursed ? btw I'm using Windows XP O_O
Go back to an earlier restore point when you know things worked.
Use Device Manager and uninstall the channel your burner is installed upon under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers and the DVD burner itself under DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click and select Uninstall for both. Upon restart WinXP should reinstall both the channel and the burner.
If you have a desktop burner, install it in another system and see if it works there. If not, it's probably toast. Otherwise, there is something amiss - hardware/software/ or both - on your system.
