i have a ps2 slim and i was wondering if i can play ps2 backups if i take the top off the ps2 and i use swap magic to boot the game

you dont need to take the top off. doing that would not help you at all. You need slimk kit or magic keys as well as a swap magic disk.

just use the tissue tape mod it works for me all you need is tape and tissue lol ( and of coarse SWAP MAGIC )
