Reinstalled XP and now my backups are failing!

Hello all,
I recently reinstalled Windows XP and CloneCD. I've tried to burn The Darkness and 2 discs have become toasters a few moments after the Lead-In. I'd never had problems with CloneCD before the XP reinstall.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure, I would assume so but obviously I could be wrong. Could you please elaborate?

the driver for your burner. some burners come with their own driver, others use the windows one. basically if you burner came with a disc, install it and try again.

My burner never came with a driver CD so that wouldn't be the problem.
I just installed Nero which seems to have an ASPI layer. Could it be something to do with ASPI?

gonload network frame and others and c if it works then
when u re install windows you lose certain programmes which conflict with others worth a try anyway make sure you have the latest updates for your dvd burner and if youve ever taken it out then just quickly check that all cables in right
what are you using to back up your games

I just downloaded all the MS .Net Frameworks
I'm using CloneCD.
Bitsetting is set to DVD-ROM, which it was before the reinstall, so that's fine.
Where's the layer break setting?

well, something with a reinstall is causing problems. I just formatted and reinstalled Windows XP Pro and mine will not even read the original disc past 48% to even try burning, when it would finally read it would create coasters when i put them in the 360 they say "mixed media"

Benq drive, not discs
Verbatim DVD+R DL discs were used
The Benq drive gave me no problems before this, I've never had a coaster until the reinstall of Windows XP Pro.
Please read the thread before responding :-/

have you tried to burn anything else in the same burner since re-installing windows??
like a normal DVD/CD?
just trying to see if its just for 360 games or if the burner wont burn at all....

try getting nero just in case or just try to re install again full re in stall of windows and download the latest version of everything see if that works

re install windows again and dont do any updates for it see what happens if ur using sammy drive to back up games use xbox back up creator to burn them

UPDATE:
Well i installed Nero 7 Ultra Ed., did some Windows updates that came up on my auto update, and also flashed the drive back to the original Samsung firmware, then back to a different Kreon file of the same firmware. I was able to get one to work, and a second one i made an image that tested out as stealth in both XBC 2.4 and DVDmulleter 9 so i assume that image is also ok. Not sure if it is all sorted out yet or not but at least i am getting somewhere. Half way through the read with XBC 2.4 it gave an error so i chose the fill with zero's option and clicked the retry read button and it finished up.

you do get to fill zeros on some games but a different copy of the game might not ask for it from my own experince it could be the game is dirty somehow
use backupcreator 2.5 or schtrom 3.3
theres always a flaw in windows and updating is good or just a full install of windows and now you have nero 7 you can make back ups of ur back ups the easy way of just copy dvd
