Eurovox max V 2008 wont come out of standby

Bought a new euro-vox max V 2008 a few weeks ago off ebay it came preinstalled with july software and it worked for 2 days , then it went into standby and now i cant turn it back on , i have tried to reflash but my pc wont connect to it , am just getting "waiting for your response of your reciever" , the guy i bought it off on ebay is a right A""hole and says he only sells geneuine boxes and i must have changed the circut board for a clone which i have not, anyone have a solution to this problem ?

Yes followed the guide and used the euromax loader and latest bios connected to my pc with a null modem cable , opened the box and tried the reset button but still not working

is your cable connector a usb from your pc to the box ? these sometimes dont work .

Thought the same myself so bought a null modem cable and still wont work , i bought a box from another supplier and will have it monday but still left with this box , is there any repairs that can be done ?

sorry but this may sound like im in IT but when your flashing your box have you got it plugged in ..have you tried using an old PC ...

Nothing same thing cant find eurovox , i was using the box watching tv and it just went into stand by now cant get it to turn on

From reading your posts it sounds like you have been done by a fleabay trader. As the 2008 versions have not been cloned, yet i may add. You may have been sold a clone in a 2008 package as the latest firmware has killed these boxes.
As you said you have ordered a new box so hopefully that will sort you out. You can always leave negative feedback about the seller on fleabay or go a step further and tell them you are going to ask fleabay/palpay to withhold payment unless your problem is rectified as with all items there is a cooling off period.

Youve been at this for quite a while now. Have you as Celt has said downloaded the Eurovox Owners Guide.
This can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. Click this link,then click Eurovox,then Eurovox documentation. Download the guide and read it, this will show you exactly what you need to do.
After that the loader and firmware can be found in the same link.

hello again scouser .
100% success last night 140 channels .!
have one small problem young son in his excitement i think he deleted a channel. it comes up on the list but is accompanied by asmall scissors like icon. how can i retrieve this channel or have you come across this problem. is there a quick solution???

No money back as the guy who sold it to me says its not a clone , but i am sure it is as i bought a new box from someone else and i flashed it np, i was looking at the 2 boxes and noticed there was different typeface used in the packaging with one being in bold the other not , and on the serial numbers on the box, i have tried to reflash but it just wont come out of standby , i am thinking can i jtag this ? and if i do what ver of the eurovox software can i use ?
