I COMPLETELEY agree!!! OE-A is the legendary Dark_AleX! M33 looks n00bish. Since Dark_AleX quit the homebrew scene, I want to keep his CFW until I have no choice but to upgrade to another CFW.

Currently, my psp firmware is 3.4 OE, and so far so good. No problem and all ISO or CSO was working perfectly.
If 3.52, better wait and see. Until it really stable, because their just release a new patch (Patch 4).

I heard that (I could be mistaken) if you get a tampered with eboot of the patch 4 it will semi brick and say ps3news tampered with this (or something) and it'll ask you to just get a new one. I think thats great how it can recognize that. I wonder if DAX coulda thought of something like that. But im still on his side tho lol

correct
M33-4 EBOOT.PBP has a built in hash check to see if the EBOOT has been tampered with. If it has then it takes you to a recovery menu allowing you to install the correct version
it is a nice feature that will stop lamers stealing the file and hexing out/in names etc.
i believe Wildc*rd are going to do the same with their next releases.

I agree, M33 has bugs and I never got trouble using 3.40 OE-A. I don't think I'll ever update unless there's a good game that requires a higher version than 3.40.

Well i dont realy trust m33 right now as they have too many patches within one week i wouldn't risk bricking imy psp so 3.40 oe-a is fine until i realy need to update (if all new good games use higher fw) but utill then i'll still use oe-a or maybe when someone rips isos from umds maybe they could remove the stupid update thing on it

totally agree deamon2k...
1. people don't actually look at what the patches are doing (mostly adding in things OE doesn't have);
2. people forget about 2.71SE which went through about 7 revisions...
3. people also forget/don't know that M33 is based on a reverse-engineer of OE anyway
for me M33 rocks

so far OE and M33 ive tried both but will stick with m33 since it does 1 have later version just DUH
2 simpler and more optisoins like Menu in xmb for changing usb from reading mS to flash 0 1 2 3 or 4
umd mode changing and speeds not in OE

yes i do. i have an oe-a psp which i did update to 3.52 m33 and then went back to oe-a at the moment there are no good games that use fw 3.52 and i want better compatability with homebrew, and another reason why i went back is patches i know some of dax's firmwares had patches but since the arival of 3.40 oe-a (since April) there has been no patch for it. However there might be a security issue somewhere which 3.51 oe-a was suppose to fix but DAX has left the PSP scene (which i hope not) he won't be releasing or making it.
