Hello akareem27: Why not upgrade to one of the higher custom firmwares like 3.40oe-a or 3.52m33. You don't need devhook with these firmwares. It's alot less complicated that way.

Agreed. The best way to get rid of those problems is to upgrade to either one of the CFWs mentioned above.

As for your second question, there is no 3.30 downgrader...

could i install a custom firmware on the 3.03? if so which 1 is the best option?

What r the advantages to getting a custom firmware over a golden 1.5 firmware?

Yes, you can use unpatched GTA:LCS to downgrade from 3.03, or upgrade to 3.50 and downgrade with Lumines.

Either 3.40 OE-A or 3.52 M33 are good, take your pick.

There are many advantages to using a custom firmware:

1)You are constantly at that higher firmware, so no need for devhook any more.
2)You can run all your ISOs and CSOs straight from the game menu on your XMB.
3)You can customise your XMB easily.
4)It has a built in, easy to use PSX loader.
5)All your homebrew will work with it.
6)There is a recovery mode, so if you semi-brick you can get your PSP working again.
7)You get all the benefits of the higher firmware, web access etc.

I'm sure there are more but i can't think of them off the top of my head.

I don't think you will like to go back after you've used CFW, but yes, you can get some files that are run from the recovery mode to revert back to 1.50.
