If I were to play cso's on my psp, would I use devhook or get custom firmware? If I were to get custom firmware or devhook, which version would I get? Which is the most stable? This is assuming I have 1.50 already installed on my psp. Thanks!

You would definelty want to go with custom firmware as it allows iso/cso's to be played faster than if you were using DevHook. Custom firmwares are also much stabler and since there is no homebrew application (devhook) needed to run the homebrew you save space on your memorystick for more/larger iso's/cso's.

So, which custom firmware should I install? I heard 3.52 m33 has problems that cause psp bricks.

The 3.52 bricking issue was caused by a site that modified the 3.52 code and said it was the original. Well for the psp would you rather have greater homebrew compatibility or have every iso work? Answer that and I can tell you which firmware is better for you.

I live in SF, CA - and went to an ebgames in union square about a month ago (asking for a used copy of lumines). The store employee quickly said, "no, we don't.", and gave me this 'you should be ashamed of yourself" look, as if I had just brought up the subject of the holocaust or something.
