members, senior members, afterdawnaddicts, yer right, you all have no idea when it comes to a real question.

so here is a question

i have 3.40oe-a and im trying to hex edit my menu text (topmenu_plugin.rco)eg:photo,music,game,etc. but there's to much of a list and i cant find them,does anyone know the hex code for these,or anything that might be of help???

every time i ask a question,i dont get one single response,the thread just slowly goes down the page never to be seen again.

threads about how to uprade and downgrade should be non-existent,theres more than inuf info out there already.

how about people start making real threads about real topics

Is it just the text itself you are wanting to change? For example: changing the Network Update icon to say "Reboot"? Like so....



(you need the special prx file for it to actually reboot your psp though)-let me know if you need it...)


If so, just use RCOeditor by Zinga Burga...You can edit your icons and the text in the XMB...

iv got the decrypted topmenu_plugin,thats it, and i open it with hex editor,but theres to much text to find it, and rco editor doesnt seem to have an option to edit it,iv already changed the system software from 3.40oe-a to a custom word,(vshctrl.prx in the kn folder) so do i need a special prx file for topmenu_plugin???

no its all in topmenu...u can try the search option in the hex editor

If you are using the Zinga Burga RCO editor, its the tab in the middle to do your editing(text data)...You wont have any luck using a hex editor on a topmenu rco...

You would need a prx file that (I forget where it goes offhand-I think the KN folder) would have your psp reboot when you select the "network update" ...

just worked it out,i havnt done it yet though,i had a old rco editor 104 it doesnt have text data

so just downloaded rco editor 1.14d

so i will give it a go,thanks for the help guys

- then you regulars should start helping us mods to help you regulars (and it would also help the noobs) - start reporting duplicate threads via the offensive post button, for instance i'm just closing pages of duplicate threads re Pandora's battery. You regulars should be helping us to help you.... i don't even possess or want a PSP and i'm cleaning up PSP forums...
