I,ve just downloaded my first game, this has 2 files, an ISO & a DVD. My first question is how do I burn this to disk? Secondly do I need to do anything before I burn it? I have been reading about having to patch games, do I need to do this as well?

if yuo have imgburn go to tools settings change the layer break to 1913760, then just open your file and burn

well its the dvd but it will only let you open the right file anyway

Am I being a bit stupid here. it is letting me select either file to burn. Just tried the ISO file but the burn failed. Any ideas people? Will nero not burn the ISo file

You need to get/download ImgBurn

- install ImgBurn
- right-click the .dvd file, then choose burn with ImgBurn.

I have used image burn and the disk has failed to burn twice what am I doing wrong. First time I selected the ISO file and second time I selected DVD file. I set the layer break as above and burned at 2.4 speed. Any ideas what's going wrong folks?

I always use xbox backup creator to burn and have never had a problem

what type of burner are you using? what kind of media? i suggest a pioneer 111d you can get one at newegg.com and use verbatim disc
