hi guys I have a sony dv camera I can take get the video stored on my hard drive but when I go to encode to burn it to dvd with roxio 8 it gets to about 3 or 4% and then shuts the pc down?
any help would be great

Presume that the download from the camera is therefore in .dv format. What setting are you trying to use on Toast 8 - VIDEO-TS, DVD-Video, of Div ? DVD-Video should take any Quicktime supported file (including .dv) and burn it
Have you thought of reading the file as is into iDVD and letting it do the work creating the disc for you?
