must i mod to put videos on psp(using dvdfab platinum or other)dont know firmware please forgive if i repeat redeye from searching forums

how come u dont know the firmware, go to sistem settings, sistem information

No you don't. If you get your hands on a video file that is AVI, use ImToo Video Comverter to convert the file into High Quality MP4. All PSP's, official, M33, OE, and LE all play these video files. If all you have is an actual DVD, rip the DVD onto your computer and then convert the file into an AVI format. Sorry I don't know of a converyer software off the top of my head, but you can Google it.
