whats the latest firmware for psp that i can still play ripped psp games. i know i can probably find it searching but i want a quick answer. thanks for any answers

to play isos you need either 1.5FW or a custom firmware (3.40OE-A, 3.52 M33-4)

to get to these FW you need to be on official 3.50FW or lower

however : there are a large number of ppl who still prefer 3.40 oe-a

ok so what you are saying is that if i buy a psp 3.50 or lower then i can downgrade it to 1.50 and then get a custom fw to play the ripped games. did i get it correct? where do i get the downgrade and custom fw? thanks for the replies it was really appreciated

correct on all counts

you will need to DG from 3.50 to 1.5 which will require an unpatched Lumines UMD

then you can get the CFW from any respected site (qj.net, psp-hacks...)

i believe that the release code is not altered for Lumines, you need the one without the 3.51 update on UMD

you cannot run any .isos without the exploit found in the Lumines UMD savegame process...
