does anyone know of a full turitul on how to downgrade a 2.71 firmeware psp. i need it for my friend and i dont have any morE blank CD's so i want to give him a link.

You will find that there are two different methods, each depending on your motherboard. This walkthrough also includes the files you will need, so you don't need to go googling downgraders. Please, please check to ensure your model matches. If you apply the wrong patch to the wrong motherboard, you will brick your PSP.

i was wondering waht motherboard my friend had, there are no numbers behind the umd door thing. so does that mean its a ta-082?

It depends. I belive that if it's 1003, it's a TA-86. not sure what the code is for TA-82, but I have to assume (please remember that assumption is the mother of all screw ups), that if the code is anything but 1003, it would be TA-82 if manufactured and sold within the USA.

a TA-O82 is ICI003 , you can download any 2.71 easy downgrader first,and it will show you exactly were to look for the model of your psp, there are two 2.71 easy downgraders at psp hacks that i know of,and they are for a TA-082(ICI003) and a normal psp with no text at all,just make sure you use the right downgrader,because if you use the wrong one,you will fully brick your psp,but dont let the word brick scare you,if you do every thing right you wont have a problem

white TA-082 fully bricked using wrong downgrade another white TA-082 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.40oe-a then to 3.52m33 > 1.5 > 3.80 ofw > pandora battery & magic memory stick to get 1.5 then 3.52m33 > 3.71m33 > 3.80m33, psp's still alive!!!
