Hi all
Just wondering, is there such a thing as PS2 eboots?
Is it possible to play ps2 games on the psp? I know that the psp is quite comparable to the ps2 interms of processing power so this is just a thought.

put due to the hardware and system software, the psp would have to Emulate a PS2, and since we've just recently gotten a PS1 emulator i doubt that the PSP even has the balls to run a PS2 Emulator, hell the n64 Emu still has bugs in it....but good question and supporting statement about the processing power...but alas the answer is still nope as fearevil stated.

forgive me if im wrong, but didnt someone from sony say that when they are through with sales of ps2, and when people start getting the balls to buy a HDTV and a ps3, they were gonna make a ps2 Emulator for playstation store? (kinda like psone)
if so, im sure we could get around it like on psx. :)
but whoever i heard that from might have been talking sh**.
but one can dream eh? lol.
i think the PSP runs 333 just like the ps2. but again, sorry if im wrong.

yes, psp runs at 333MHz, but i don't know the speed clock of the ps2.
Men that would be good s***, run a ps2 games on psp, but...we would need to buy 4 gb memory sticks to fit only one game

I wouldn't say its impossible. But your right, ps2 game are usually around 4gb. But they may compress the titles they release, by taking out vdeos and speech and maybe music?

Anyone got any ideas how a dreamcast would run? i think the specs are actually abit better for the psp over the DC cept for maybe some memory.
Thattle be a hard one, even for PC there are very few DC emus. ah well
If you cant beat em, nuke em.

Still no. Just because it has a boost of RAM doesn't mean it has the potential to play PS2 games because everything else in the slim is essentially the same as that of the fat.
